Week 12 Game Picks

Week 12 Game Picks

BYE WEEK: Cardinals, Vikings, Chargers, Chiefs

1 DEC 2019. 1 PM ET GAMES

Seahawks @ Eagles

It’s the battle of the birds in Philly. The Seahawks are coming off a statement road win against the 49ers. Meanwhile the Eagles are coming off a messy home loss to the New England Patriots. Yes, it was a winnable game based on a respectable game plan to thwart Brady & the Patriots (something we have seen the Eagles do before…) however, the point is it wasn’t enough. That’s going to be the theme in this matchup as well. Wentz is statistically better at home however, his defense has struggled against the aerial attack. That’s where MVP favorite, Russell Wilson comes in. The Seahawk stud has tallied up 23 TD passes to a mere 2 INT (4th best in TD:Int in NFL history). With a Wilson turnover not happening anytime soon & an Eagle’ secondary that has failed to snag a pick since week 7, this offense is going to be too tough to keep up with. Seattle is coming off a bye week & being undefeated on the road doesn’t make things any better for Philly.

Score: 24-20, Seahawks Win.

Raiders @ Jets

Another week. Another W for the Raiders. Sure, the Jets have looked good over the past two weeks, however, it was the Giants & Redskins… the two worst teams in the NFC East. I’ll give them credit in stopping the run as that has been the Raiders main focal point of attack. Even if the Jets can make the Raiders offense one-dimensional, they can beat you in the passing game with a guy named Derek Carr…I expect the Raiders to continue their win streak & humble the Jets.

Score: 27-17, Raiders Win.

Broncos @ Bills

How are the Bills doing this? Yes I will keep reiterating the fact that they are the worst 7-win team in the league however, I will give credit where credit is due. This week Buffalo hosts the Denver who looked great last week… until the second half at least. Up 20-0 at the half in Minnesota last week, the Broncos became the only team to allow a comeback with a lead that big at halftime

Score: 20-13, Bills Win.

Buccaneers @ Falcons

HELLO ATL! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? Okay doesn’t matter, point is you are here now & have disrupted your NFC South rivals playoff chances in back to back weeks. After 2 consecutive road games, 2 wins, both against divisional rivals. The Buccaneers pose the least threatening team overall. Their defense cannot play at a high level especially against Julio Jones who has averaged 121.1 YPG in 14 career games against the Bucs. Offensively, things get uglier for the Bucs as Jameis Winston leads the league in turnovers (22). Matty Ice & the Falcon offense have looked like themselves & their defense has allowed a mere 12 points COMBINED over the last two weeks. The Falcons pick up their 6th consecutive W against the Bucs.

Score: 24-16, Falcons Win.

Game Locks: 1 PM ET

Bears @ Giants

This is honestly a straightforward game-pick. Yes, the Bears have been a mess. Yes, Mitchell Trubisky has been a mess. The Bears don’t look like the same monster team as they did last year. However, Sunday could bode well for them as they take on the Giants led by rookie QB, Daniel Jones. With the Bears’ defense allowing 17.4 PPG (fewest PPG for team with losing record) & Giants’ Daniel Jones ranked #2 in the league for giveaways, I see Chicago earning their 2nd consecutive home win this week.

Score: 23-13, Bears Win.

Lions @ Redskins

I’m quite surprised that the Lions have not only lost 3 consecutive games, but 6 of their last 7 games! This is the same team that has the #1 WR duo when it comes to receiving TDs. Regardless, from start to finish this is a lopsided matchup. WIth a Matt Patricia led defense going up against an offense that has failed to rack up more than 250 yards in 4 consecutive games, it’s Detroit all the way in this one.

Score: 19-13, Lions Win.

Browns @ Dolphins

Probably one of the easiest game picks of the week. The Browns are riding on a thin string of hope to get into the postseason. Meanwhile, the Dolphins have a mere 1% chance to earn a spot in January. I expect that 1% to go away as the Browns should earn an easy home W. Besides, Baker has shined against bottom-5 defenses this season posting a 132.2 passer rating & not having thrown a pick in 3 consecutive games is just a plus side!

Score: 24-13, Browns Win.

Steelers @ Bengals

I was tempted to see if the Bengals could potentially notch their first W of the season at home against the Steelers this weekend, however, the Steeler defense has been playing great. SUre, last week was not their best game as their offense was also hit with 3 major injuries to JuJu Smith Schuster, James Conner, & Diontae Johnson. Unfortunately, the Steelers will be without James Conner & JuJu Smith-Schuster this sunday. I’m sure they will find a way to victory as they have not lost to the Bengals since 2015!

Score: 18-13, Steelers Win.
