Week 13 Game Picks cont.

Week 13 Game Picks cont.

1 DEC 2019. 4:05 PM ET Game

Rams @ Cardinals

With the Rams being an absolute mess both the offensive & defensive sides of the ball, the Cardinals are coming off a bye week & trying to beat them for the first time since 2017. That shouldn’t be so hard as the Rams have unfortunately found a way to hurt themselves. Having 0 TD passes in 14 consecutive quarters & having scored under 20 points in the last 3 weeks certainly does not help the Rams mediocre offense. I’m going bold with Arizona at home…

Score: 27-21, Cardinals Win.

1 DEC 2019. 4:25 PM ET Game

Raiders @ Chiefs

This is fairly a straightforward game pick. The Raiders put up a mere 3 points last week against the Jets! I simply don’t see them walking into Arrowhead & stealing a divisional W. Especially against a Chief squad coming off a bye week… a game in which head coach Andy Reid has a record of 17-3 following a bye week. On top of that, Andy Reid has a record of 11-2 vs. Raiders since taking over as the Chiefs head coach. I expect Josh Jacobs to have a big game, however, outside of that the Raiders should be stumped in the mid-west.

Score: 30-17, Chiefs Win.

Chargers @ Broncos

The second AFC West matchup in the late window games features the Chargers & Broncos. Sure it is not as relevant as the Raiders & Chiefs matchup, however, the Broncos could see their future in this game. 2nd-round pick, Drew Lock is set to make his NFL debut for the Broncos & interestingly enough, all 3 of the Broncos wins this season have come against AFC West opponents. This week, I don’t see that happening. The Chargers have lost two consecutive divisional matchups & coming off a bye week, I don’t see a third consecutive loss. Expect the Chargers to bounce back & have a slight ray of hope to make the playoffs (not really).

Score: 27-20, Chargers Win.

Sunday Night Football

Patriots @ Texans

It’s time for blastoff in H-town. The Texans have a record of 0-5 vs. Patriots (incl. playoffs) since 2014. Sunday night will mark a historic win for both Deshaun Watson & Bill O’ Brien. I see Deshaun Watson as a better pocket passer than Lamar Jackson, however, when it comes to scrambling, both QBs are definitely up there in comparison. So how do the Texans beat the Ravens? Cut them off. Attack the Pats at their achilles heal. Tom Brady & the offense. Weird huh? In fact, Tom Brady has fewer than 300 YDS passing in 5 consecutive games. There is no doubt that the Patriots are going to find a way to give Watson a tough time as they have allowed only 1 wideout to top a 100 YDS receiving. The Texans key to victory is going to be in Will Fuller & the dynamic ground attack. Staying two-dimensional at all times is the way the Texans need to be throughout this primetime matchup. With that said, I call the Texans to upset the Patriots & shake up the playoff picture.

Score: 27-23, Texans Win.

Monday Night Football

Vikings @ Seahawks

This is as simple of a Monday night pick this season. I know that sounds absurd to say based on the Vikings & Seahawks having a combined record of 17-5. However, the Vikings defensively on the road have been a different unit. Check it out…

Vikings DEF.

With a defense that struggles against the pass on the road, Russell Wilson is primed to breakout at home for yet another week. On top of that his perfect 5-0 record against the Vikings just adds to the Hawks’ success in this game pick. Expect Seattle to keep things rolling & make the Vikes depend on Kirk Cousins as Dalvin Cook has failed to top a 100 yards rushing since week 7 of the season.

Score: 28-24, Seahawks Win.
