Week 13 Game Picks

Week 13 Game Picks

1 DEC 2019. 1 PM ET GAMES

49ers @ Ravens

It doesn’t get much better than this. What better way to kickoff the early-window games than a Super Bowl 47 rematch! 7 years later, the 49ers & Ravens sit among the top of the league & knock on wood… this could be a Super Bowl 54 preview! Either this game is going to be on a blowout or a defensive battle. The Baltimore Ravens sit atop the league averaging 35.1 PPG as the 49ers come in as a close second with 30.2 PPG. Here’s an offensive/defensive breakdown of these two powerhouses.

49ers DEF vs. Ravens OFF.

The Ravens offense is going to face the ultimate test of the season, however, isn’t this deja vu? The Ravens might already have a similar blueprint to beating the 49ers. A game plan that dates back to November 3rd against Belichick & the Patriots. The Patriots were the #1 defense in the league headed into that game. So how did the Ravens beat them? They were themselves. So what’s the key to victory offensively for the Ravens flock? RUN WILD! Their 210.5 rush YPG ranks a league-best & quite frankly the 49ers #1 ranked rush defense is going to be in for a long day. As for their offense, I expect Jimmy Garoppolo to show up & show out. A 49er team that is undefeated on the road has to go into Baltimore & snap their 7 game win streak. Big enough moment for Jimmy G? I think so! A 49er loss on sunday is bound to happen & it is not going to be the worst thing ever. I’m excited to see how this 49er offense gets thrown into the fire & keeps things somewhat close in Baltimore. I’m still going to call a two-possession game as the Ravens should get a score in crap time despite SF keeping things close.

Score: 37-26, Ravens Win.

Browns @ Steelers

Don’t worry. No Mason Rudolph. No Myles Garrett. It’s time. A road win is something the Browns are not fond of. Their last road W coming against the Ravens back in the last week of September. Months later, after 3 straight home games, the Browns have found themselves momentum with a 3 game win streak. So this week, the Browns are completing the season sweep against the Steelers. When the browns were struggling it was Baker Mayfield who was blamed. Over the last 4 games the Browns have shown signs of being a potential 6th seed if they win out... let’s shed some light on Baker Mayfield being the one of the main reasons for this teams success. A banged up Steeler offense simply makes things easier down the stretch of this AFC North rivalry.

Score: 27-17, Browns Win.

Titans @ Colts

Tennessee has found new life in Ryan Tannehill. The Titans have won 4 of their 5 games with Tannehill as the starter. Coming off a bye week is much needed in this road divisional matchup against the Colts. Meanwhile the Colts are coming off a tough divisional loss to the Texans that has dropped them from the 3rd seed to the 8th seed in the AFC playoff picture. Urgency is now in Indy & with all of Tannehill’s wins as a Titan coming at home, I’m going to the the Colts at home to bounce back in a pivotal divisional matchup…

Score: 27-20, Colts Win.

Buccaneers @ Jaguars

Nick Foles remains winless as a Jaguar. The Buccaneers are undefeated on the road. This week nothing changes. I’d love to see Foles have his proper duval welcome at home. The Bucs still find a way to win games despite Jameis Winston’ league-high 100 giveaways this season. Only the 49ers & Ravens avg. more PPG than the Bucs. I’d love to see a Foles W, however, it’s tough to bet against the Bucs as long as they play like this offensively.

Game Locks: 1 PM ET

Packers @ Giants

Bounce Pack! That’s been the common theme in Green Bay as the Packers have a record of 2-0 following a loss. They look to make that 3-0 in a favorable matchup out east in the Big Apple. Despite the Packers avg. 14.3 PPG since week 9, the Giants offense has looked one-dimensional as Saquon has failed to top a 100 yards rushing since week 2 this season. Packers pick up the W.

Score: 29-13, Packers Win.

Jets @ Bengals

The Jets have been great. How great? Try 3 straight wins with 34 points in each of the 3 W’s. The Bengals remain winless this season. It’s a snooze fest in Cinci.

Score: 34-23, Jets Win.

Eagles @ Dolphins

The Eagles have been blessed with yet another Cowboys loss & the Dolphins this week. Sure, the Eagles offense has struggled, starting with Carson Wentz who has only 1 TD pass in 5 straight games. Their defense has been stellar allowing fewer than 20 points in 4 straight games. A Dolphins team that has been inconsistent all season long compared to the Eagles who look to make a late playoff push… safe to say who gets the W here.

Score: 24-13, Eagles Win.

Redskins @ Panthers

The Redskins survived last week & won 19-16 against the Lions. Not impressive however, I won’t discredit them. Meanwhile, the Panthers are coming off a tough divisional loss. This week they are back at home against the Skins’ in a favorable matchup.

Score: 29-23, Panthers Win
