Week 10 Game Picks

Week 10 Game Picks

BYE WEEK: Eagles, Patriots, Broncos, Texans, Jaguars, Redskins.

10 NOV 1 PM ET

Falcons @ Saints

It’s week 10 & with no surprise here, the Saints are winning this game. Although Matty ICE makes his return to the Falcon lineup, the Saints quiet this news by adding their own firepower on offense… Alvin Kamara. The Saints will have their Big three (Brees, Thomas, Kamara) for the first time since week 2. The Falcons won’t be able to contain the Saints offense & defensively it’s no walk in the park! The Saints defense has allowed less than 10 points in 3 of their last 5 matchups. Expect the Falcons to be grounded in NOLA.

Score: 34-17, Saints Win.

Ravens @ Bengals

The Ravens flock is coming off a dominant 37-20 beat down over the defending champs, New England Patriots. Instead of facing an uphill battle on the road this week, the Ravens have a favorable matchup against a winless Bengal team that will be without their star wideout, AJ Green for yet another week. Another absence worth noting is no Andy Dalton! The Ravens won their last head to head matchup 23-17 in a game where Lamar Jackson rushed for 152 yards! This week expect him to see similar numbers as the Bengals are allowing the most rush yards (177.6) to opposing teams. Ravens fly in & out of Cincinnati comfortably with a win.

Score: 31-13, Ravens Win.

Giants “@” Jets

WILLIAMS.png

Does it get much better than this? Leonard Williams is the only player to play for the Jets & Giants in the same season! Revenge & the battle for one of the finest cities in the nation. This game is like the battle of LA between the Clippers/Lakers except it’s football & the other side of the coast. The Jets & Giants play once every 4 years & quite frankly both teams are not in place for playoff contention. A key matchup to watch for offensively is #26 on both the Jets & Giants. Giants’ Saquon Barkley has failed to surpass 75 rushing yards in 4 consecutive games (longest streak of career). On the contrary, Jets’ Le’veon Bell has failed to rush for more than a 100 YDS this entire season (longest drought since rookie season). I expect the Giants to pull out with a victory and take bragging rights as the best team in the Big Apple!

Score: 23-17, Giants Win.

Bills @ Browns

Browns fans this is it. Your season practically takes a plummet to a whole new level. I was so on the edge with this pick & wanting to pick the Browns to win this matchup as it is long overdue, however, the Bills are just that “good” & the Browns simply are just that bad. Sure, the Bills are the worst 6 win team in the league, but I will give them credit where it is due. For starters, the Bills defense has not allowed a single WR have a 100+ receiving YDS this season. On top of that, they take on a Browns offense that has failed to use Odell Beckham Jr. to his full potential. To make matters worse, per next gen stats, Baker Mayfield has the WORST passer rating when not under pressure. He is the only QB this season who has more INTs than TDs when not pressured. I expect the Bills to pick up their 7th win as the Browns get handed their 7th loss.

Cleveland Browns Stats

Score: 24-19, Bills Win.

Lions @ Bears

The Bears are an absolute mess. On the contrary, the Lions simply have yet to catch a break. Fortunately, they have a favorable road matchup against their divisional rivals this week. Here’s a look at how atrocious the Bears defense has been off late.

Bears DEF

On top of that the Bears defense allowed a mere 11.3 PPG through their first 4 games compared to their last 4 games, allowing 24.8 PPG! More than double! Offensively it doesn’t get better for the Bears as Mitchell Trubisky has a mere 5 passing TDs in 7 starts this season (worst among QBs with 5+ starts this season). I have the Lions bouncing back on the road as the Bears look like they are about to go from first to worst in the NFC North…

STAFFORD.png

UPDATE: IF MATTHEW STAFFORD DOES NOT PLAY VS. BEARS MY GAME PICK WILL CHANGE IN FAVOR OF THE BEARS, 20-13

Score: 27-23, Lions Win.

Chiefs @ Titans

This is as straightforward as it gets… the Chiefs are 6-0 when scoring more than 25+ PTS this season & with the league’s reigning NFL MVP(at) back in the lineup, the Titans simply don’t stand a chance. Sure they could keep things close by relying on Derrick Henry for the most part, however, no running backs legs can ever compare to Mahomes’ arm. Chiefs win on the road!

Score: 34-20, Chiefs Win.

Cardinals @ Buccaneers

Revenge game. Bucs’ head coach, Bruce Arians takes on his former Arizona Cardinal team led by rookie head coach, Kliff Kingsbury. Both the Cards & Bucs are coming from tough losses. This week I expect the Bucs to flip the switch. I’m going against what statistics says in this matchup (on some level). For starters, the Cardinals have actually had fewer total yards than their opponents in 8 of their 9 games this season. Despite that, the Cards have still won 3 games this season. As for the 2 win Bucs, they have their own problems at home with 0 wins! Jameis Winston has actually been a better road QB than at home.

Despite that stat line, I’m going bold & giving the Bucs their first home win on sunday. I find it hard to believe that a team with 2 wins has the 6th best passing attack in the league! Bruce Arians gets his revenge & a long overdue home win!

Score: 36-27, Buccaneers Win.
