Week 15 Game Picks

Week 15 Game Picks

15 DEC 2019. 1 PM ET GAMES

Texans @ Titans

A crucial divisional matchup for the lead in the AFC South? Now that is the NFL at its best. I’m going to go bold right off the bat & call a Texans loss. A team that I have bet on all year really faced a setback last week against the Broncos at home. Going on the road for the first time in nearly a month in a crucial divisional matchup does not help…

Watson vs. Tannehill

Trust me it is just as much of a surprise to me as it is to you when looking at Tannehill’s production since taking the reins in Tennessee. In fact the Titans are tied for the 2nd-best record in the NFL since week 7 (6-1) behind only the Baltimore Ravens (7-0). Meanwhile, the Texans have a record of 2-7 in Weeks 14-17 since 2017! Guess what? It’s week 15. Despite Deshaun Watson’s 120.7 career passer rating against the Titans & the Texans trend this season to go 2-0 following a loss, I’m calling an upset. Titans take the lead in the AFC South, but I still got the Texans taking the division when both of these divisional rivals meet again…

Score: 34-23, Titans Win.

Broncos @ Chiefs

This is a tougher matchup than you would think. Patrick Mahomes is banged up. Drew Lock is on fire. I love what’s going on in Denver & interestingly enough all of their wins have come against AFC opponents.

Unfortunately, that is not going to be enough to match Mahomes’ 10-1 record against AFC West opponents. Despite Drew Lock’s stellar performance off late, I don’t believe it will be enough to pick up a W. Rookie QBs are a combined 1-6 since 1950 in Arrowhead Stadium. On top of that, the Chiefs defense has allowed 17 or fewer points in 3 consecutive games… Tom Brady the most recent victim. Chiefs set to sweep the Broncos!

Score: 23-13, Chiefs Win.

Bears @ Packers

A late season rematch of the NFL’s 100th season kickoff game. The NFL’s oldest rivalry meets at Lambeau Field in a crucial divisional matchup. This could be the week Aaron Rodgers gets hot in the Frozen Tundra… the Packers are set to play their last home game of the season & there is no doubt that Aaron Rodgers & co. are ready to show up and show out. With a big time divisional matchup next week in Minnesota and a first-round bye on the line for the Packers, all they have to do is win out the final 3 games of the season. Rodgers & the Packers offense have been underwhelming after the Week 11 bye. Putting up 31 on the Giants was nice to see however, it was the Giants. This week Aaron Jones could meet his match against a stout Bears rush defense, however, with Aaron Rodgers as his quarterback, passing lanes are bound to open down the stretch. Expect the Packers to continue their NFC North dominance in the home finale of the regular season… somewhere Rodgers itches to play January football.

Score: 29-21, Packers Win.

GAME 🔒 1 PM ET

Buccaneers @ Lions

No Mike Evans? Okay well that is a slight bit of an issue. However, it’s the Lions. They simply have not found a way to close out games & going up aaginst an offense that is not afraid to go bombs away every play… it’s going to be a long day in the Motor City for the Lions.

Score: 31-20, Buccaneers Win.

Eagles @ Redskins

Eagles are still flying & very much alive in the NFC LEAST. Meanwhile, the Redskins are playing for draft position. WIth the Eagles defense allowing a mere 19.2 PPG & the Redskins offense averaging 14.5 PPG this season, I expect the Eagles to pull off the divisional W despite being shorthanded on offense once again!

Score: 21-13, Eagles Win.

Patriots @ Bengals

Seriously? The Patriots are “onto Cinci”. Last week is the past & they have their eyes on this week’s matchup. Expect the Patriots to be two-dimensional as the Bengals defense ranks last in the league when it comes to stopping the run. Tom Brady gets a break from trusting his not so reliable wideouts in this weeks matchup.

Score: 31-17, Patriots Win.

Dolphins @ Giants

The tank game! Honestly, the Giants are going to want a higher draft pick for several reasons, however, with the Bengals coming to Miami next week, I think Miami can win that game. So I’ll give Eli & the Giants the home win in what looks to be his final game in the big blue colors…

Score: 24-13, Giants Win.

Seahawks @ Panthers

The Seahawks are coming off their first home loss of the season. This week they bounce back in Carolina. The Panthers simply will not be able to compete with a 10 win Seahawk team. Simple as that

Score: 28-17, Seahawks Win.
